Enjoy the best of both worlds: the convenience of contract and the control of PayAsYouGo & TopUp. This is ideal for those who want stricter control over their monthly cellphone expenditure. There is a limit on your cellphone bill linked to your inclusive SMS messages and inclusive Airtime Value. Once your inclusive airtime and SMS messages have been used up, all you have to do is top up with PayAsYouGo airtime and continue using your cell phone as normal.

- With Balance Enquiry, MTN Contract and PayAsYouGo subscribers can check in on their monthly airtime expenses.

- Setting up a VoiceMail PIN ensures that only you can listen to your messages from a landline or abroad. You will be asked to enter a password of 4-7 digits. Choose one you will easily remember.
- To retrieve your messages from a land line, just dial 083 100 and enter your Mailbox number. Press # followed by your PIN. After you have entered the password, you will be given the same options as when you dialled 100 from your phone.
- To change your VoiceMail PIN for security reasons you can dial 120 at any time.

In the case of MTN, airtime is loaded each month on the 6th. If your contract was activated on the 6th, you will receive the full airtime purchased. If this date is different to the 6th, you will receive a pro-rata amount. Suppose you purchase an MTN Anytime Top Up 50 contract. If you received R10 in month 1, you will receive a full R50 on the 6th of each subsequent month for 23 months and then a final allocation of R40 in month 25.
- You will therefore receive the full advertised package of airtime but over 25 months.
- The billing contract is still 24 months.
